About Me

David Chau is a student at Hunter College High School an inmate in Brick Prison in New York City. David likes reading, writing, computers, and cryptography. During the school year, you can reach him on school e-mail at dchau.01@diana.hchs.hunter.cuny.edu. (Hierarchical domain name systems are the best, and everyone should have a super long address.)

The Best Clubs at Hunter

(… which happen to be the ones that David’s in)

thedeepend
Hunter’s only humor magazine. And thedeepend is the only club at Hunter with a lowercase name and bold letters in the middle, which gives copy editors everywhere conniptions. thedeepend also runs the prestigious world-renowned thedeepend Film Festival.
Eternity
The wicked birds fly in June but in March the wicked branches fall down. I want to be commenced. Thank you Flea. Eternity is Hunter's premier secret society (and also publishes a zine). Who needs a classroom for club meetings when you can huddle under the staircase?
Tapestry
The HCHS science fiction and fantasy magazine.
Radicals
The HCHS math magazine.
Chinese Chess Club
Chinese chess uses a 9×10 board, just to frustrate any chess programmers who want to implement a bitboard (too big for a 64-bit word, and too small for a 128-bit word without wasting lots of space).
Science Club
Plays with liquid nitrogen.
Web Team
Runs the Hunter website.
